The Hellenic Data Protection Authority is the central AI market-surveillance authority for the categories in Article 3(1). It also serves as the single point of contact and operates the unified complaints system.
The Hellenic Telecommunications and Post Commission is designated as notifying authority. It hosts the AI Coordination and Expertise Centre and the regulatory sandbox.
A notifying authority performs the AI Regulation’s assigned functions concerning conformity-assessment bodies. Article 5 designates EETT for this role.
A notified body performs notified conformity-assessment functions. Article 11 assigns APDPCH a specific role for the high-risk systems identified in that provision.
Article 12 establishes the AI regulatory sandbox within EETT. EETT and APDPCH operate it jointly under the referenced EU provisions, with relevant sectoral authorities participating within their competences.
