A coordinated set of tools, processes and institutions (including standards, sandboxes, testing facilities, conformity assessment and transparency mechanisms) intended to support independent auditing, validation and ongoing assurance of AI systems across sectors.
The network of standards, pilots, third‑party auditors, assurance providers, certification mechanisms, and supporting guidance the Plan seeks to build and pilot (for example via the AI Assurance Roadmap) to enable consistent, evidence‑based assurance of AI systems across sectors and procurement processes.
