Foundational knowledge introduced by the DKO that explains what AI is, common application areas and algorithmic limitations, and basic risk awareness (including bias, data protection, and safety). The term refers to non‑technical understanding aimed at enabling citizens and public servants to use and critically evaluate AI‑enabled services, not to technical model development.
