Definition
A collaborative laboratory (CoLab) is an organised partnership or facility that brings together universities, research centres, companies and public entities to run joint R&D, pilot projects and technology transfer activities in AI. In the strategy, CoLabs are intended to accelerate innovation, promote cross-sector experimentation, and foster industry–academia cooperation within the national AI ecosystem.
