Definition
Any surveillance technology that performs face surveillance, meaning an automated or semi-automated process by which a City Department identifies or verifies an individual based on facial characteristics or that generates or analyzes a biometric template of an individual’s face; Chapter 19B explicitly prohibits City departments from obtaining, retaining, accessing, or using such technology or its outputs.
