Fundamental Rights Impact Assessment (FRIA)

A required evaluative process for certain high-impact AI deployments that identifies, documents and prescribes mitigation for potential adverse effects on fundamental rights (such as discrimination, privacy or freedom of expression); the bill mandates use of national templates and oversight by the designated authority.
