High-risk settings
Contexts where harms are hard or impossible to reverse.
Definition
Contexts in which the deployment or use of an AI system can cause harms that are hard or impossible to reverse (examples include critical health, justice, transport, and safety-critical infrastructure). The interim response uses this category to prioritise mandatory guardrails, testing, transparency and accountability obligations for AI uses in these contexts.
