Human-on-the-Loop

An oversight model where AI operates autonomously while humans monitor and retain the ability to intervene when needed.

Definition

A human oversight mode where a person monitors the AI system's operation and performance and has the authority to intervene or override decisions as needed, but is not directly involved in every individual decision made by the system.
