National Artificial Intelligence Centre coordinating AI capability.

Definition

The National Artificial Intelligence Centre established to accelerate adoption of trusted, secure and responsible AI across Australia; originally hosted within CSIRO’s Data61 (launched 14 Dec 2021) and moved to the Department of Industry, Science and Resources in 2024. NAIC acts as a national focal point for coordination, guidance, capability-building and stakeholder convening, providing non-binding resources and programs to support industry, research and government.
