Definition
A small, centralized authority proposed by the draft to act as the single national contact point for AI, responsible for coordinating implementation, liaising with EU bodies, running an implementation helpdesk, facilitating funding and public procurement reforms, and publishing annual national AI reports. The Coordinator is supported by a multi-stakeholder Consultative Council for Ethical AI and coordinates with sectoral authorities for oversight.
