Near-miss event
An event that could have led to a technology incident but did not.
Definition
An occurrence or condition that, if not detected or mitigated, could reasonably have resulted in a technology or cyber incident but did not cause actual harm or service disruption. The GTRM introduces mandatory reporting of near-miss events to enhance supervisory visibility and proactive risk mitigation.
