Personal Data Protection Officer (DPO)

Definition
An appointed individual (or individuals) who meets SDAIA's competency and integrity criteria and is responsible for overseeing compliance with the PDPL and Implementing Regulations where appointment triggers are met. The Regulations set out when controllers must appoint a DPO and the role's governance responsibilities, including interfacing with SDAIA and maintaining compliance documentation.
