Public-facing system

AI system intended to interact with or be visible to the public.

Definition

An AI system whose outputs are accessible to or directly interact with members of the public, and which therefore may require additional transparency, monitoring and mitigation measures (e.g., labeling, complaint channels, dissemination metrics).
