Encompasses Data Center Projects and Covered Component Projects that meet certain criteria, such as significant investment, electric load, national security relevance, or special designation, making them eligible for expedited federal permitting and financial support.
Qualifying Projects are defined as large-scale artificial intelligence (AI) data centers and their critical supporting infrastructure. Specifically, a new facility qualifies if it has greater than 100 megawatts (MW) of new load dedicated to AI inference, training, simulation, or synthetic data generation, and its sponsor has committed at least $500 million in capital expenditures.
