A category used by the Strategy to denote priority technologies for deployment and domestic development, explicitly including artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), big data/analytics, blockchain/distributed ledger technologies, high-performance and quantum computing, and 5G communications; these technologies are the primary focus of funding, testbeds and pilot projects.
