Certification

Denotes the voluntary national programme administered by the Malta Digital Innovation Authority in which registered Systems Auditors assess AI systems against the criteria of Malta’s Ethical AI Framework; the regime includes auditor registration, certification issuance, and market-based enforcement such as suspension/revocation and procurement preferences.

A voluntary third‑party evaluation and audit process against the Framework's control practices, producing certification outcomes intended to demonstrate conformity with the Framework for market access, procurement or reputational purposes.
