Definition
Technology (systems, applications or infrastructure) whose failure, compromise or unavailability would materially impair the CME's ability to deliver services, damage reputation, breach legal or regulatory obligations, or threaten business continuity. The term is used to identify systems requiring heightened controls such as pre-deployment cybersecurity assessments and mandatory penetration testing.
