Definition

The Cyber Security Agency (the Agency) is the central supervisory body established or reconstituted by the Act to identify CII, issue mandatory directions, coordinate incident response, conduct audits, prescribe standards, maintain national incident-response capability and liaise with law enforcement, regulators and international partners. The Agency is empowered to issue binding rules, classification criteria, and sector-specific compliance measures under the statute.
