Definition
The act of producing, manipulating or altering media by digital means so that it falsely appears to document real events, statements or behaviour of a person (commonly referred to as a 'deepfake'); the conduct that the proposed §201b criminalises when it infringes personality rights by creating a misleading impression of authenticity.
