Legal Personhood
The status of an entity capable of holding legal rights and duties.
Definition
The status conferred upon an entity, such as a natural person or a corporation, that enables it to possess legal rights, incur legal obligations, and be subject to legal actions. HB 469 explicitly prohibits AI systems from obtaining this status.
