The Galileo Public Regulated Service (PRS) is the secure, encrypted satellite positioning and timing service defined by EU Decision 1104/2011/EU, reserved for authorised governmental or national security users. In the context of Law 5039/2023, PRS denotes that EU-defined service and the national access regime and technical requirements applicable to devices and services seeking PRS functionality.
