Significant and Competent Human Supervision
Human oversight enabling understanding and override of AI outputs.
Definition
Significant and Competent Human Supervision requires that the public agent overseeing an IAG understands its capabilities and limitations, can assess and validate outputs in context, and retains the practical ability to override, correct or reject those outputs; it is a mandatory condition for using IAG in administrative processes and for ensuring that AI does not substitute legally‑reserved competencies.
