Definition

The use of automated, generative, or synthetic-data technologies (e.g., deepfakes, voice cloning, synthetic media) to create, modify, or amplify representations that impersonate an individual; the bill treats conduct aided by such technologies as an aggravating means of committing identity usurpation.
