The European AI Office within the European Commission that acts as the Secretariat to the AI Board, coordinates Commission central functions related to AI implementation, prepares interim guidance, supports international cooperation, and facilitates exchange between national competent authorities.

A Commission function established to coordinate classification, standardisation, codes of practice, the EU database and EU-level implementation tools; it supports an EU Board, issues guidance, and helps harmonise oversight, standardisation and cross‑border cooperation among Member States.
