An individual whose persona has commercial value at or because of death.
Definition
A "deceased personality" is a person whose name, voice, signature, photograph, or likeness had commercial value at the time of death or as a result of death and who is protected under the post-mortem publicity rights scheme of Civil Code §3344.1, with those rights vesting in successors as provided by statute.
