Pseudonymisation
Processing data so it requires additional info to identify subjects.
Definition
A technique that replaces or transforms identifiers in personal data so that the data cannot be attributed to a specific individual without additional information kept separately and subject to safeguards; pseudonymised data remains personal data under the PDPL and requires appropriate controls. The Regulations reference pseudonymisation as a security measure in technical and organisational controls.
